We also found out this past week that Obama denied a request by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to meet with him, apparently claiming his schedule was too busy. Yet, on the very day in question, Obama managed to find time in his schedule to appear on the David Letterman Show! At least we know what his priorities are.
Charles Krauthammer has an outstanding column on NRO called "The Abandonment." I highly recommend it. Krauthammer explains clearly and concisely how Obama's policy on Iran is utterly incoherent and is a miserable failure. He also shows how this policy constitutes not just a danger to our own country's national security but a complete abandonment of our closest ally in the region, Israel.
Obama's weakness toward Iran and indifference toward Israel are two more reasons why he must not be re-elected.

The Contrast Couldn't Be Clearer...
...between those who are real leaders and those who aren't. Definitely in the "not a real leader" category is Barack Obama. His cowardly budget continues the big domestic spending while completely ignoring the massive problem of entitlements which threatens our country with bankruptcy. Charles Krauthammer has a lot more details in his great column here.
In the "real leader" category are two tough, courageous governors: Mitch Daniels of Indiana and Chris Christie of New Jersey. Both of these men are real leaders who taking the painful steps necessary to fix their states' financial problems, all the while being honest with their constituents about what's at stake. 1. This National Review article by Charles Krauthammer warns conservatives that they "underestimate Obama at their peril." Krauthammer notes that in only 18 short months Obama has succeeded in making drastic changes to our country's health care system, financial system, and energy system, while his stimulus spending and changes to the budget structure have put our country on the path to bankruptcy. None of these "accomplishments" will be easily reversed, if at all. But a second term, when Obama would no longer be accountable to voters for future reelection, would be far, far worse. Conservatives should not write his obituary prematurely, and regardless of the outcome of the 2010 elections MUST not rest until he is voted out of office in 2012.

3. Probably the single left-wing claim that makes me most angry is the oft-repeated slander that the Tea Party movement is racist. This blatantly false claim not only slanders a lot of good, hard-working Americans who love their country, but also drives a racial wedge into the heart of our society and minimizes real racism. I have written extensively on this topic in a previous post, but I wanted to include another great article on this topic from National Review, written by Deroy Murdock in response to the NAACP's condemnation of the Tea Party movement. I think it's important for conservatives to know the facts about the Tea Party movement so we can defend ourselves against this kind of ignorant propaganda.

Israel, Disarmed
Another must-read article by Charles Krauthammer. Krauthammer compellingly demonstrates that the international community's ultimate goal is to deprive Israel of any ability to defend itself, and the U.S., led by Obama, is assisting in that goal. Make no mistake about it, Israel's very existence is threatened. And if our government has anything to do with it, the end will come sooner rather than later.
